A resource for community organizers

If you’re trying to organization and mobilize people to get things done in your community, I’ve got a couple of resources for you.

Here are two documents from the Center for Community Change.

“Funding Community Organizing: Social Change Through Civic Participation”

“Untapped: How Community Organizers Can Develop and Deepen Relationships with Major Donors and Raise Big Money”

In the first one, grantmakers talk about how and why community organizing works to build community, increase democratic participation, and solve problems.  In the second one, you’ll find out how to apply the basics of community organizing to raising money from major donors, including different types of major donors, where to find them, and some tips you need to know.

Emjoy!
