Here are some of my favorite quotes about planning.

If you don’t know where you are going, you’ll end up someplace else.  Yogi Berra

Don’t bunt. Aim out of the ballpark. David Ogilvy

Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude. Thomas Jefferson

Success always comes when preparation meets opportunity. Henry Hartman

If you can dream it, you can do it. Walt Disney

  1. Kelly says:

My own personal mantra (which applies to all sorts of planning!) is: “If everything is important, then nothing is.”

Another one I use to get myself over tough decisions is “Make the decision, and then make it right.” I picked it up in the mid-90s, not sure where.

  2. Joe Brown says:

“If you want to build a ship, don’t drum up people together to collect wood and don’t assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.” -Antoine de Saint-Exupery

  3. My favorite is:

If you are failing to plan you are planning to fail.

(Attributed to Winston Churchill, but that could be wrong.)

  4. Mazarine says:

Plan, Plan Plan and work your plan! -Kim Klein!
